Dr Peter Bray MBBS (UWA) FRACS (Vascular) was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, graduating with an MBBS from UWA, and undertook extensive vascular and endovascular training in Australia and internationally before being awarded Vascular Fellowship by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
A well respected member of the Vascular & Endovascular Surgical community in Australia, Peter is Head of Department of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery at St John of God Hospital, Subiaco and a Consultant Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon at SJOG Subiaco and Midland (Public), HPH and Bethesda.
Peter is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Vascular), Member of the Australian & New Zealand Society of Vascular Surgeons, The Australasian College of Phlebology, the Australia New Zealand Society of Phlebology and the Vascular Representative of the State Committee of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Peter has previously held the position of Head of Department and Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (Nedlands) where he worked for 20 years and undertook Specialist Vascular training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA), Sydney and St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. He also undertook additional training in complex endovascular aneurysm repair and carotid stenting at Ashford Hospital in Adelaide, Lake Macquarie Hospital in Newcastle and Epworth Hospital in Melbourne.
Peter provides a comprehensive service for the diagnosis and management of all vascular conditions utilising the most appropriate method for the individual (endovascular, surgical and/or medical). Peter’s special interests include open and endovascular management of cerebrovascular disease, complex aortic endovascular intervention and state of the art endovascular management of peripheral vascular disease. He is passionate in his commitment to providing the most appropriate treatment for the individual.

Peter’s commitment to the advancement of appropriate vascular and endovascular treatments extends well beyond his own practice, with regular attendance and invitations to speak at Medical Conferences both nationally and internationally, publication of articles in various medical journals, provision of ongoing education within the medical fraternity and contributions to medical research and forums.
Peter has provided mentorship and training for many local, national and international Vascular Surgeons and continues his commitment to providing the best in healthcare now and into the future for vascular patients across Western Australia by ensuring that Vascular Solutions is not only a vascular service provider but a registered teaching facility that supports new trainees to achieve the very best in Specialist Vascular Sonography.
Peter is also a devoted husband and hands-on father of two boys who enjoys playing tennis and honing his tractor driving skills as he helps out at his family’s little vineyard, Aldersyde Estate, managed by his mother and sister.
